The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław would like to invite composers to the International Composers' Competition of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016. The subject of the Competition is an orchestral composition inspired by Wroclaw’s culture, history or landscape.
International Scientific Conference "Music, Fine Arts and Theatre in Artistic Education of Children and Young People" will take place on 4-5 November 2016. The application deadline for passive participants is 15 October 2016.
The International Carl Maria von Weber Competition is dedicated to young bassoonists from Poland and abroad, and its 7th edition will be held on 18-21 November 2016 at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. Application deadline is 15 October 2015.

"Towards Polyphony" is a competition for choir conductors who start their professional career. The competition will take place on 7-10 December 2016 as part of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 event. The application deadline is 10 September 2016.

The 39. International Piano Master Course in Duszniki-Zdrój took place on 14-26 of July 2016. The master classes were conducted by outstanding professors: Orla McDonagh (Ireland), Philippe Giusiano (France), Michail Markov (Netherlands), Grzegorz Kurzyński, Wojciech Świtała and Waldemar Andrzejewski (Poland).
